2021 Summer Camp Program
All classes - Threading the sewing machine, winding the bobbin, and machine parts will be covered. Proper pressing techniques will be taught and sewing machine safety will also be covered.
We will be practicing Covid-19 Protections:
1. Students will use antibacterial hand wash, which is provided
2. Social distancing is the new norm and mask wearing will be done.

If you, or a member of your household is unwell, please contact us ASAP.
No student who is unwell with a cough, sore throat, or temperature will be
allowed to participate. (Temperature will be taken on arrival)
The safety of all students is a priority.
Camps are for children ages 8 to 18.
Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
No refund will be made on or after the first day of the session. If the student
must cancel, 25% of camp fee will be retained.
Registration fees are not refundable.
All equipment is provided.
Class size is limited to 3 students.

Sewing Crafts

Material Fee: $20 for fabric, waived if you supply your own.
During this week of camp you will learn the parts of the sewing machine, how to pin and cut, and how use the straight and zig zag stitch. Your first project will be a small bag. Then choose 2 out of the four following modules for the remainder of your week of camp:
My Big Foot Pillow: Big Foot Pillow;
On The Go: Pocket Pillow, Denim Purse and Pod Pouch;
Pack It Up: Back Pack, Pencil Case, and Reversible Head Band;
Deco Your Room: Four Squares Pillow, Heart Door Knob Hanger.

Beech Fun

Spend the mornings getting ready for the beach with this neat program. You will be making a Beach Bag, Swim Wrap and a cool Sun Glass Holder.

Garden Party

Purchase your own Fabric or a project pack will be available for purchase ($35)
Let’s have a Garden Party with your doll. You will be making matching skirts for you and your doll. If you would rather make a headband for yourself instead of a doll skirt, you are more than welcome to do so. You will then make a drawstring tote to finish your look. You will have the chance to add an appliqué to your bag, a t-shirt, or skirt.

Night Owl Camp

Doll Camp Special

Children will make clothes for either an 18” doll (American doll) or 15”(Itty Bitty Baby). A kit fee is included in the Registration Fee. If you would prefer to use your own fabric, please consult with the instructor 2 weeks prior to class.

Sleepover Fun

Make a bathrobe, nightgown and eye mask for those sleepovers. Add those design options of pockets, patches, ribbons, or nothing. You can even learn how to make patchy looking pajama pants. Have fun and explore your creative side.

Denim Craft Camp
Camp Fee $170, Registration Fee $10
Love the feel of T-shirts but want to try a style change. This week allows you to do just that. From redesigning your t-shirt, say into a dress to making your own print. We will experiment with fabric design and then style design. Take the plunge and lets have fun. This workshop is limited to those in 7th grade and up.! (Students will be given a supply list for the number of Tshirts
needed for this class based upon which styles
they choose.

Dress Up

Make a dress to wear, casual or fancy. Students will first make a muslin of the dress they are making. This will help with fit and style choices.

Curl Up with a Quilt
Camp Fee $170, Registration Fee $10
Students will learn how to cut, sew exact seam allowances (1/4 inch), chain sewing, joining blocks, pressing, preparing fabrics for quilting, and how to select fabrics for quilting. We will discuss design and they will choose between a Brick Road lap quilt or a Four by Four quilt.
(Students will be given a supply list for fabric upon registration)
Note: If time is not sufficient to finish, student will be shown how to tie and
do a quick finish technique. |
